The coinage of the Anglo-Saxons is particularly varied with many different rulers reigning over the various regions of England. There are many different types produced in a wide variety of mint towns with late Anglo Saxon coins always naming the mint town and moneyer responsible. Some issues and mints are extremely rare and correspondingly expensive, however there are also many more affordable mints and coins available.
