Hammered Short Cross Coins of Richard I For Sale - reigned 1189-1199
Hammered short cross pennies from the reign of King Richard the Lionheart. Richard was a son of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine. In 1183 his brother Henry died, leaving Richard heir to the throne. Richard was absent from England for most of his reign, fighting in the 3rd Crusade and fighting in Normandy.
