Ancient British Coins of the Iron Age and Celtic Gold and Silver Coins for Sale and Wanted.

Ancient British coins of the Iron Age were struck in Southern and Eastern Britain from about 50BC to 100AD. The earliest coins to circulate in Britain were probably struck in Gaul (Northern France and Belgium) and may well have been brought to this country by mercenaries or refugees fleeing the Gallic Wars with Rome.
